Managed Research Area

The soybean cyst nematode (SCN) remains the most economically important pathogen of soybean in Illinois.  The SCN Managed Research Area seeks to:

• Look at interactions between SCN and other pathogens

• Isolate novel genes for resistance to SCN

• Determine the variability in SCN populations in Illinois

• Develop outreach material for educating producers and the soybean industry
